About the Farm
The Valias family’s journey began in 1770 when a Portuguese noble embarked on an exploration of uncharted Brazilian lands. Over the centuries, Fazenda Nossa Senhora das Valias has been lovingly tended by generations. In 1880, it transitioned to coffee production, and today, with over 140 years of experience, the Valias family is synonymous with excellence. Pioneering spirit led them to explore new technologies for specialty coffee. Located in the Mantiqueira de Minas region, their farm produces champion coffees. Now, the eighth-generation manager and his sons aim to take the Valias legacy global. Their story is one of courage, innovation, and passion for coffee.

What makes this coffee special?
They have produced a high-quality full-bodied coffee that represents a 'traditional' Brazilian coffee but with more depth and complexity. With medium citric acidity containing sensory notes of bitter chocolate, hazelnut, walnuts, nutmeg, cedar, and whiskey in the finish. This coffee is grown on a farm with an altitude of 950m - 1110 m, producing Arara, Mundo Novo, Icatu, Rubi, and Yellow Catuai cherries.
